Fire

The searing heat was the first to be known,
Burnt orange reflections in shards of glass.
A crackling tinged with spite,
Whispering loud enough to deafen.
Smoke happened next,
Suffocating, Constricting, Tighter
Closing of strained vision.
The licking of pain came after,
Blistering the skin, singeing hair.
Enveloping a continued burn,
Only becoming bearable
As feeling was no longer.
